“Another great means of transport was the ship. We used it to get to Greenwich Village along the Thames River. We had good views of London and London bridges” (Del diario de Karina Chimbo).

OUR JOURNEY TO LONDON
I had a magnificent journey to London. Thank you to my teachers Ana and Maria, you were great to have in the trip, very helpful and always there for us. We spent five wonderful days.
The flight Zaragoza - London was relaxing. I met my roommates at the airport, Silvia and Carmen. We got along since we met and by the end of the flight we all knew about each other’s lives.
London was unbelievable. I've taken with me fantastic memories, although the time we spent in the UK was short.
I enjoyed our visit to all the beautiful places, like the National Gallery, the London Eye, the British Museum and Buckingham Palace. People in London are very friendly, kind and helpful.
We travelled around London in different types of transportation, like The London Underground (The Tube). The Tube is the quickest and cheapest way to get around the city.
We used pre-paid cards to get on and off anytime. These cards are also good for buses.
We also travelled on the top of a double-decker. This is a good way to see London's main attractions. It is also convenient as it saves time and it goes around the city.
Another great means of transport was the ship. We used it to get to Greenwich Village along the Thames River. We had good views of London and London bridges.
One of my favourite events was the one on Thursday night. We went to the Queen's musical "We will rock you". The music, the actors and the whole show were incredible!
Most importantly, I loved the trip because of all the people I got to meet. Our group was amazing and made my trip to London a one in a lifetime experience.
If I have the opportunity next year, I will do it again...¡

MY TRIP TO LONDON
My trip to London was really special. I couldn’t imagine that it would be the best experience in my life.
I decided to write a diary every day about my adventures and the places that we visited.
WEDNESDAY, 27TH NOVEMBER: I was preparing for my trip all morning. When my luggage was ready, I closed it and I went to the airport, where I met my cousin, who was setting off to London to work as an au-pair.
The journey was excellent, although there were some turbulences on board. The journey to the hotel was extremely long because we went across the airport (London Stansted), and after one hour by bus we finally arrived at the hotel. We took our luggage to our rooms and we went to the Soho to have dinner. After dinner, we had a beer in the pub next to the hotel and we went to sleep. We were exhausted by the journey!
THURSDAY, 28TH NOVEMBER: We got on the London Eye wheel. It was fascinating to be on the top of the wheel. You were able to see all the city of London from the capsules. I took lots of photos.
After lunch, we went to the National Gallery. We had a very good coffee in Caffè Nero and in the evening we went to see the Queen musical, called “We Will Rock You”. There were lots of lights and the actors and actresses sang wonderfully. I really enjoyed it!
FRIDAY, 29TH NOVEMBER: We took a boat to travel along the River Thames and later we visited the Greenwich Observatory. After that, I went with some friends to Greenwich Market and we had some kebabs there.
In the afternoon I went to the Tower of London with Karina, my roommate, and we saw the Crown Jewels, which were spectacular. After that, we sat in a Starbucks café to relish the fabulous Starbucks coffee and a piece of chocolate cake. We decided to rest at the hotel for an hour.
In the evening we walked along Oxford Street and went shopping, as it was “Black Friday”.
SATURDAY, 30TH NOVEMBER: We went to the Natural History Museum, where we saw a lot of dinousaur skeletons. We had pizza for lunch and we spent the afternoon in Harrods and Victoria’s Secret. I spent a lot of money because I bought a lot of things, like the typical Harrods bag, some pyjamas or some underwear. It was our last night in London, so I had a special dinner with my friends and then we went to the pub to have some drinks. Later I went to the bowling alley next to our hotel with my cousin and her friend Lara and we met an English boy called Michael.
SUNDAY, 1ST DECEMBER: We had breakfast and took the bus to the airport. It was really stressful to go through the security control at the airport because of the long queues. On top of that, the staff were unfriendly and quite rude. Finally we tood the plane and arrived in Zaragoza at four o’clock.
This trip has been an amazing adventure for me. I really got on well with all the other people travelling with me, especially with my roommates Karina and Carmen Carmona. Every night we talk by whatsapp, like in the hotel room in London, because we miss each other a lot. I’m sure I’ll travel to London again next year!! It was a really special trip.
