Pido disculpas por las faltas y errores del siguiente relato, el inglés nunca ha sido mi fuerte, pero la intención es lo que cuenta, sea malo, menos malo, regular, etc.

SALLY AND WHISPER (or “How to listen to people”)
Once upon a time there was a beautiful girl who neither had got lost in the middle of the wood nor had a bad stepmother, but she felt really sad.One day, her father told her: Sally, you look sad. What’s the matter with you? You ought not to be so sad, you have got everything, you have got a lot of friends.-Oh, I know, father- Sally answered sadly. –I can’t understand it- she kept saying. At school all of her classmates asked her the same question: -Sally, you look very sad. What’s happening?-. –I don’t know- she answered again and she went away dragging her feet. She was walking for a long time until, without realizing, she got to an old hut, made of mud and straw. She stopped at the door and, after knocking softly on it, she was waiting for some minutes, but there was no answer. Then, she knocked more strongly that time and she waited for a shorter while: the door was opened and a tiny man appeared on the other side.At first, Sally didn’t see him because of his short height. She noticed him when she suddenly heard a voice below, next to her knees. She looked down and saw a nice tiny man with a big white beard, who smiled at her.–Can I help you?- he asked amicably.-Yes, please. Could I come in, Sir?- she asked shyly.-Of course. Come in! I’ll light you a fire to heat you up- the tiny man said, inviting her to come into his modest hut. When Sally felt better, they began talking and Whisper –that was tiny man’s name- asked her some questions and Sally answered all of them willingly, while he faithfully listened to her. Whisper was beeing really kind to her and she was feeling happier and happier. Then, Sally told Whisper that she had been very sad for a long time, without knowing why. However, at that moment she was feeling happy and she wasn’t worried about anything. Her mind had finally calmed down. After having tea with Whisper for a couple of hours, she said that it was already coming back time and, after saying goodbye to him and promising to meet him again, she went away. The way back was pleasant: she felt totally happy and she decided that she would be sad never again, because she had finally found a true friend.Whisper’s secret was that he knew how to listen to people, an actually unusual but simple ability!

  2. A great day

Deborah put her head out of the window. –Today’s going to be a great day!- she thought, and soon after, she began getting ready. She was sure of that it would be a special day, without knowing very well why. She had a premonition of it.

She put on the radio: it was been sounded She by Green Day. –All right, it’s just I need- she thought. When she was ready, she went out of her flat and walked along Carnaby Street. She didn’t know where to go, but she knew just a thing: wherever she went, it would be right.

After a long walk, after having passed by a lot of streets, shops and quarters, she finally got to London outskirts. Deborah couldn’t recognize anything, but she didn’t feel lost. That was all right. She was just letting go by her feet and by her intuition.

A long while later, when the buildings had disappeared, her shoes had been broken and she was so thirsty that she couldn’t keep walking, she stopped right at the beginning of a dark tunnel. But, despite to be very tired, she was soon curious to know what there was on the other side. So, without wondering for a longer time, she stood up and, barefooted, she went slowly into that mysterious tunnel.

Deborah walked carefully, attending to any strange thing that could happen. Our young lady suddenly remembered her mother’s words –Curiosity killed the cat-. Anyway, she wasn’t afraid: she knew that day would be a great day and, therefore, she shouldn’t be worried. Then she began seeing a small light at the end of the tunnel. While she was walking, the light was getting bigger and bigger. When she was just about getting to the end... Flash!... She suddenly woke up!

Deborah couldn’t remember what she had dreamt during the night, but she got up and, putting her head out of the window, she said herself: Today’s going to be a great day!

  3. EARS IN YOUR GARDEN

Some papers spread on the table,
    The dishes not picked up,
    I love your untidy house,
    Because I’m so methodical instead.

    I’m resting on your shoulder:
We decided to stay in bed today.
Skycrappers are growing upper and upper,
We can listen them to grow up.

In your garden there aren’t flowers any more.
Down outside some ears are growing up instead.
Shisssssh... speak lower, they could listen to us!
